Little Bunny Foo Foo…

Easter always seems to be our first glimpse of Spring! Here, in Kansas City, we’ve had a fairly warm February and March so, the tulips are blooming and the trees are budding already…

This year, as you know, Easter is really early. I’m used to sharing my birthday party with Easter and this year is no different. We’ll be travelling in April so, we’re going to go ahead and celebrate my birthday this coming weekend.

I pulled together an Easter tablescape to inspire you and to ease us into Spring decor… JoAnn’s has 60% off Easter decor right now but, luckily, I resisted the urge to add to my collection. So, other than a new tablecloth, I used what I had on hand!

I decided to use my white dishes because they bring a nice, crisp contrast to the green fabric I bought to use as a tablecloth. I layered neutral cream napkins between the dinner and salad plates to add softness and set multi-colored beverage napkins atop the salad plates to add a pop of color. The setting is finished with an inexpensive, contrasting-colored, plastic Easter egg. It would be fun to put something in each one for your guests to take home…

I’m using Ball canning jars as glasses with funny Easter-themed straws from Marshall’s. Each straw is different so everyone can keep track of their glass. I had some nest votive candle holders and green, fuzzy leaping bunnies that I incorporated into the middle of the table. I think it turned out nice and festive!

What are you doing for Easter? Can you believe Spring is almost here?!
