Kansas City Restaurant Week: Jan. 15-24

It’s that time of year, again: KCRW!

This is a great opportunity to try out a different restaurant and contribute to charity at the same time. Most of the participating restaurants are locally owned and one-of-a-kind. Each participating restaurant will have a special Lunch and Dinner Restaurant Week Menu for you to choose from. Lunches will cost $15/person and dinner will be $33/person; both lunch and dinner will  feature a multi-course meal with a variety of choices for each course. This year, part of the proceeds will be donated to these charities: BoysGrow, Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired, and Cultivate Kansas City.

After discovering Restaurant Week by accident in 2013 by going to lunch at YaYa’s Euro Bistro with my in-laws, I’ve been hooked ever since! The past couple of years, we’ve made it our goal to try new-to-us restaurants across the city with friends. Some of the restaurants we’ve discovered via Restaurant Week are: Pig & Finch Gastropub, Lidia’s Kansas City, Tannin Wine Bar + Kitchen, and The Melting Pot. This year, we are going to try Seasons 52 and Rye; both have been on our must-try list for awhile!
